Prior to joining Riviera Partners, Phil served as a Surface Warfare
Officer in the United States Navy. Over the course of three and
a half years, his experiences varied from electronic warfare, communications,
manpower analyst, and finally as a liaison officer to the Philippine
Navy. He brings with him extensive communication and IT systems
knowledge as well as their employment within fluid and rapidly expanding
environments.
Phil graduated from the United States Naval
Academy in Annapolis, MD with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry.
During his time at USNA, he was the head researcher on a Department
of Energy project focusing on the detection and quantification of
Uranium VI on various building materials. His work was published
in the Talanta Journal of Analytical Chemistry with the article
"Colorimetric Detection of Uranium(VI) on Building Surfaces
after Enrichment by Solid Phase Extraction," Greene, P. A.;
Copper, C. L.; Berv, D. E.; Ramsey, J. D.; Collins, G. E.; Talanta

Phil is an avid kiteboarder and experienced
mountaineer who summited Denali/Mt. McKinley, the highest point
in North America (20,320'), on June 21st 2004. He lives in Palo
Alto, CA.
